At Overton St Helen’s we are fortunate to have an amazing parent teacher association that we call OSFA (Overton School Friends Association). Every parent is automatically a member of OSFA and is extremely welcome to join with our committee to support, organise and run an amazing variety of events throughout the year.

OSFA add to the life of our school, providing fun and enjoyment for all the family with regular events such as school discos, seasonal fairs, cake stalls, pop-up shops and film nights.

The funds they raise all go to enriching the school experience for our pupils. OSFA subsidises coach travels for educational visits so that we reduce the cost of this for our families and also pays for whole class Ukulele lessons for all our Key Stage 2 classes, so that our pupils can have the experience of learning a musical instrument whilst at Overton Primary.

OSFA has also raised money to pay for playground equipment, our new outdoor stage, the trim trail and the bespoke outdoor mural, designed by our pupils. In addition, we were very grateful for the funds OSFA raised to decorate and furnish our school library. Most recently, OSFA has helped to secure a Heysham Windfarm grant so that we can now develop our allotment area on our top playground, allowing our pupils to learn about growing and cultivating vegetables, within their curriculum.

We are so grateful for the hard work OSFA do throughout the school year.
