Our distinctiveness as a Church of England Primary School underpins the provision we offer at Overton St Helen’s which is articulated through all our school policies, however below are some key policies in this area.
- RE Policy Religious Education is one of our four core subjects in school and is studied each week in all classes.
- Collective Worship Policy Collective worship is at the heart of our daily school life and is central our routine. We learn to how to live out Christian Values in our thoughts, words and actions, looking at examples of those who have done just that before us.
- RSE Policy We put relationships first, recognising that trust, respect and love are key ingredients in a partnership between school and families. We also recognise the importance of understanding and celebrating the diverse world our children are part of.
- Behaviour Policy Children are still learning about life in all it’s fullness and they are bound to make mistakes. Our challenge is to help them learn to live well together and we feel this requires forgiveness and understanding. Our behaviour policy reflects this approach as we take into consideration the needs of all our pupils.
