Weekly Round Up
Another great week in school; busy, hard working with some fun stuff in between which is just the way we like it!
Yesterday we had our annual Skip4Fit day when all classes took part in skipping workshops with Linda Hall, the skipping expert! It sounds simple doesn't it, however skipping is an excellent activity which combines cardio-exercise with co-ordination and control; keeping it up for a long time is definitely harder than it looks. The day has done what it always does - creates skipping fever in school with all our pupils eager to get hold of a rope and get skipping at breaktimes.
Next week, our final week of this long half-term, promises to be a busy one with parents evening, school disco and our final Values Awards celebration worship on the Friday. In that particular worship, our Eco Council will be giving a small presentation on the things they are focusing on this year, so please come along if you can.
Parent's Evening
On Wednesday after school, we will be holding our first parent's evening of the school year. This is a good chance to check-in with your child's class teacher to hear how they have settled into class learning and the progress that is expected of them; it's also a good chance to iron out any early issues. Parent's evening appointment times have come home today, but if you are not able to attend next Wednesday, please get in touch to meet with your child's teacher on an alternative date.
These early meetings are very important in making sure you have all the information you need in order to support your child's learning journey in school. Please make the time to come and chat with us.
Glow Disco
Next Thursday, OSFA will be holding their Glow Disco for anyone who fancies throwing their moves down on the dance floor! There are two times: 5pm to 5.55pm for children from Maple, Holly and Elm Classes and 6.05pm to 7pm for children from Willow, Beech and Oak Classes.
There will be a tuck shop at the disco and the opportunity to buy light-up toys and neon face paint!
Stars of the Week
Well done to Evie in Holly Class, Harry in Elm, Holly B in Willow Class, Leo in Beech and Lucy in Oak who are our Stars of the Week, for working consistently hard in class, focusing well on their lessons and challenges in class and for making great contributions to learning.
Good stuff!
