Overton St Helen's Primary School family news: Issue 32(25/26)
Weekly Round Up
We've had a quiet week in school this week, with our Year 6 pupils away at Winmarleigh Hall for their week's residential visit. They have had a great time, getting up to all sorts of amazing activities, photos of which have been posted on our Facebook page. But whilst they've been getting up to all that, at school our Year 5s have enjoyed a week working together in Oak Class and we've all enjoyed an extra bit of space in school.
I'm happy to say however that next week we'll be all back together again for four busy weeks leading up to the end of the school year. We have a couple of classes out of school on trips; next Tuesday, Willow Class will head out on their Wild Blue Yonder field trip to Leighton Moss and on Wednesday, Elm Class are out at Leighton Hall.
We will end the week with OSFA's 'Yes' Day - details below.
'YES' Day!
Next Friday is OSFA's Yes Day, when children can officially break the rules of the school - well, some at least! OSFA have supplied a list of suggestions and it's 50p for the privilege of each rule you break.
In addition to breaking the rules, Morecambe Football Club will be bringing in some of their inflatable targets for each class to have a go at and coaches from Middleton and Overton Football club will be leading some skills and games sessions on the field.
It's shaping up to be a good day.
School Reports
As we move into the last few weeks at school, teachers will be finalising your child's end of year school report, giving you a summary of their achievement over the past year. These will be sent home on Monday 13th July along with information about next year's classes for our KS2 pupils.
Stars of the Week
Well done to Joey in Maple Class, Aria in Holly Class, Lilah in Elm, Thomas in Willow Class, Bettina in Beech Class and Alba in (this week's) Oak, who are our Stars of this week for showing determination and resilience in their learning, with a great attitude and shovel loads of positivity.
Well done!
