Overton St Helen's Primary School family news: Issue 27(25/26)
Weekly Round Up
Another hard working week in school has come to an end; this morning it was great to share the work of both Elm and Holly class in worship, showing us just how much that hard work pays off.
We also celebrated our Key Stage One football team who entered a tournament with 14 other schools from the area, yesterday evening. It was a fantastic effort, coming back from behind in one of the matches to ensure all three group games were won. Unfortunately we were beaten by a golden goal in the semi final match but went on to win the third/fourth place play-off with our own golden goal, meaning we brought home the bronze medals! Mr Saban was really impressed with the resilience and team work shown by our pupils.
They also looked fab in our new sports tournament kit! Thanks again to our sponsors Moral Care, for making that happen.
I hope you all enjoy the long bank holiday weekend ahead of us. We will see you bright and early next Tuesday morning.
School Photographs
As you will no doubt be aware, Tempest Photography were in school on Monday taking lots of photos of the pupils. Info and photograph proofs have now been sent home and any ordering must be done so online.

New Parents Meeting
Next Friday 8th May, we will be holding our meeting for parents of our new Reception Class starters for September 2026. This always marks the start of an exciting time of transition to primary school and we are very much looking forwards to meeting our new families. Of course we also look forward to seeing some familiar faces at the meeting that will be starting the whole process again!
Star of the Week
Well done to Evelyn in Maple Class, Maverick in Holly Class, Evelyn in Elm, Betsy in Willow Class, Charles in Beech Class and Brooke in Oak who are our stars of the week for demonstrating a great attitude to their work and school, being kind, focused engaged and committed to making great progress in their learning.
