Half-term Round Up!
Here we are, finding ourselves at the end of another half-term whilst the school year keeps whizzing on by. This morning in worship we reflected on our collective achievements and gave ourselves a whole-school pat on the back for the hard work and effort we have put in.
From athletics and football competitions, to school trips and discos, it's been a busy six weeks, with much fun and learning having taken place. Now we are all ready for a week's rest, getting ready to go again when we return towards the end of Feb.
Next half-term we look forward to more sports competitions, the Year 5 trip to London, the Big Sing Festival and Arts Week in school, taking place during the last week of the term. More details about all that will be shared nearer the time, including an invitation to come into school to view the artwork we will create. Watch this space!
Lent
During the half-term break whilst we are away from school, the season of Lent begins. We took the opportunity to remind ourselves of this in worship time this week, thinking about what Lent signifies and the traditions of challenging ourself with a Lent pledge. Maybe you'll choose to give up chocolate, or keep your bedroom tidy throughout the whole season? Whatever you decide to do, good luck!
When we return after the break, Lent will be a theme of our worships alongside our Christian Value of Compassion.
Thanks OSFA!
A quick thank you to the OSFA team and all the parent volunteers who helped make the Silent Discos such a great event yesterday evening. We raised £340!
A great time, with some amazing moves being thrown down on the dance floor, was had by all!
