Weekly Round Up

Congratulations! If you're reading this newsletter you will have successfully followed our link or navigated your way through the new website to the news section.

I am really pleased to welcome you all to the new school website and now that you are here, please take five minutes at least, to have a look at the pages and enjoy the pictures of our fab little school and it's pupils. You will notice that we have a special 'News' section where you will find the weekly newsletter and all the class newsletters too. Each Friday we will send you a link to this page so that you can be up to date on all the latest in school. The calendar feature is also very useful for parents as it clearly shows upcoming events of all types. If you are really tech savvy, you can link our calendar to your phone, so you really don't miss a thing!

Enjoy the website and please do, let us know what you think.

Break Time Snacks

It has come to my attention that the variety of break time snacks our pupils are currently bringing in to school, are pushing what school would call a 'healthy' snack. Chocolate bars and sweets are definitely not appropriate break time snacks. We appreicate that our morning is a long one, especially for older pupils who need a calorie boost mid-morning to get them through until lunch and so something more than a piece of fruit may be needed. However please remember that we do not allow chocolate, crisps or sweets. Can I also remind parents that sweets should not be part of packed lunch. Thank you.

Life Education Sessions

It was lovely to welcome Katy from Coram Life Education back to our school this week. She visited all our classes, leading lessons on staying healthy, learning about how our bodies work and making healthy friendships. When she left on Wednesday she told us how impressed she was with the pupils and the quality of discussions in her sessions. Well done all and thanks Katy!
